Hugo, Brazilian born, has studied at Central St Martins School of Art and has been London based for 20 years. He's worked in the art and music scene since early 2000 where he's built a name developing concepts and images for album artwork and has been commissioned privately as well by record labels and publications from America, Europe and Japan. His work carries surrealist hints with often abstract forms and somewhat simple and yet striking compositions.
Hugo has recently embarked on new directions with his work producing fine print art and developing visual art projects for a wider audience, but throughout, his main concern always has been on challenging the viewers' perception of an image and critically capturing the transcending qualities of the moment. He holds a belief that even a blank canvas should reach out, make demands on the viewer and raise questions. The quest for answers is left to you.
